Awards!
This month we were over the moon to be nominated for an aware for "Resilient Business of the Year" in the Chamber of Commerce business awards for Mid and East Lothian at the Brunton Theatre in Musselburgh. It was the first in-person awards ceremony for a couple of years so it felt extra special. There was a really interesting talk by Prof Linda Bauld and it was great to be able to finally chat to other businesses throughout the area and see how they've been doing over the last couple of years.
We didn't win the award, it went to Gigis Restaurant in Bonnyrigg (which was well deserved!) but we were so excited to have been one of 4 nominees. There have been so many businesses that have struggled and adapted over the last couple of years and have had to change how they've worked or what they've done, that there could have been loads more nominated.
However, if it wasn't for our amazing team, we would not have survived the last couple of years. They have had to adapt to constantly changing business practices, uncertainty over rules and regulations and lockdowns along with generally trying to avoid Covid. So we want to say thank you to our fantastic team, and thank you to the Chamber for nomination and well done to Gigis! You can see a full list of other nominees and winners here.
